November 2008

Our photography is getting noticed! Both Gian and I contributed photos to a new Tanzanian tourism magazine called Ujumbe  (I’m told their site is being updated soon) which aims to promote and inform residents here on the growing variety of tourism products – the current issue is printed and will be available at the forthcoming Traveler's Philanthropy Conference here in Arusha this December 3rd to 5th. Sanjan will have a half page advertisement in this magazine. Sanjan Photography will also be producing posters to promote and display at the conference. Yes we are busy!

In addition to this exciting event our local handicrafts fair this coming weekend (November 29th) will showcase the Maasai Women’s Art jewelry and I was asked to create promotional images and print posters that accurately show off this fine jewelry. I hear that these posters will also be used at the Traveler’s Philanthropy Conference as well where Maasai Women’s Art with have a stall.

I was also asked to photograph two painting by the very talented artist ‘Camilla’ for her portfolio and reproduce them poster size for her clients. I also photographed 12 extraordinary maps of Tanganyika Territory dated 1946 and printed them an enlarged size for better reading, a varied and challenging period indeed.

With our printing humming along and producing fine prints of up to 24X 60 inches the holiday season’s fairs and conferences with give our team’s work some wonderful exposure.

An exciting and creative time is ahead.

Best wishes
Paul Oliver
